The renowned Belgian pianist Michel Wagemans will perform a double concert on the island, at the Castillo de San José and in the Cueva de los Verdes, as part of the Spring Concerts series organized by the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers of the Cabildo de Lanzarote.
Michel Wagemnans was born and raised in Belgium. He studied in Brussels and Vienna with Robert Steyaert and Paul Badura Skoda. He has been a winner of important prizes in the international competitions of Senigallia, Oporto, Barcelona, with María Canals, among others, and has played as a soloist throughout Europe, in the USA, and in several Asian countries. He has an extensive discography, which has been praised in specialized magazines, dedicated to themes by Brahms,
Wagemans' concert will be on the night of this Friday, May 13, at 8:30 p.m., at the Castillo de San José. The performance in the Cueva de los Verdes, with a repertoire for 70 minutes, will be this Saturday, May 14, at 8:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket offices of the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers of the Cabildo de Lanzarote. At the Castle, it will be 10 euros, and in the Cave, 20 euros for tickets.
The Tourist Centers hope that this series of concerts will add value to the island of Lanzarote as a tourist destination with a wide range of concerts and cultural proposals.
