The new measures of Lanzarote in level 1: nightlife and meetings of more people are allowed

Discos and bars, as well as bars and restaurants, will be able to remain open until 2 in the morning

Lanzarote's drop to health alert level 1 not only allows meetings of up to 10 non-cohabiting people, but also the opening of nightlife and the extension of bar and restaurant hours. These are the main measures that will be in force from now on in the island:

Permanence of groups of people, both in public and private spaces. Meetings must be of a maximum of 10 people, except in the case of cohabitants. In the event that the group includes both cohabiting and non-cohabiting people, the group may not exceed 10 people.

Discos, bars and karaokes. Nightlife establishments are allowed to open until 02:00 hours, although they must comply with capacity and maximum occupancy limitations, which will be 100% outdoors and 50% indoors. In addition, they must have adequate ventilation, both indoors and outdoors, and keep a record of attendees to ensure traceability in the event of a possible detection of a case of Covid during the following 30 days.

Dancing is not allowed, so the dance floor must be sealed or, if necessary, occupied by tables without exceeding the permitted capacity. The maximum occupancy per table will be 10 people outdoors and 4 indoors. The consumption of food and beverages will be done at the table, with customers seated, a safety distance of 2 meters and correct use of the mask, except when eating or drinking.

In indoor spaces, forced ventilation must be used in order to obtain adequate air renewal. In karaokes, the microphone must be sanitized after use by each customer and a safety distance of two meters must be maintained between participants and between them and the public.

Measures for hotels and restaurants. At level 1, their hours are extended until 02:00 hours. The maximum occupancy per table will be 10 people outdoors and six indoors. As for consumption at the bar, this limit will be four people. There is no capacity limit on terraces, but indoors it cannot exceed 75%.

Mass events. Mass events that are held sporadically and in places other than the usual ones, such as demountable or open-air facilities, with a number of attendees less than 750 people, do not require prior authorization from the Directorate of the Canarian Health Service, a requirement that is necessary if they exceed that number of people.

These activities, which include cultural, recreational, leisure or sports events, may be held both in open and indoor spaces on level 1 islands, with the public seated and a maximum capacity of 50%. The total capacity of the venue must be calculated at a rate of 2.25 square meters per person.

Sports activity. For collective activities in indoor areas of facilities as well as outdoors in which it is not possible to maintain a safety distance of 2 meters permanently, a maximum number of 10 people per group is allowed, including the monitor. In indoor spaces, capacity is limited to 75%.

Non-professional federated sports activity is allowed in modalities with more than 10 people without exceeding the maximum necessary for the development of the activity.

Places of worship. While at level 2 the capacity was 50%, at level 1 it is increased to 75%
