The increase in cases of coronavirus in Lanzarote, reaching this Sunday up to 1,179 active cases, is beginning to be reflected in the Molina Orosa Hospital, where there are already 12 people admitted.
All those admitted are in the plant enabled for patients with coronavirus, while the ICU remains empty.
According to details from the Lanzarote Health area, those admitted are 11 men and one woman, aged between 34 and 94 years old. Therefore, the number of admissions has doubled in just five days, since on December 22 there were only six people on the Covid ward. One of the women admitted to the hospital died this Saturday, bringing the number of deaths on the island since the beginning of the pandemic to 55.
