The Local Police of Haría has been forced to close La Garita Beach "due to excessive crowds and the state of high tide", according to the Haría City Council.
"The measure will continue to be adopted," says Mayor Alfredo Villalba as long as the restrictions imposed by the pandemic continue.
All beaches in Lanzarote must have a preferred schedule from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and to be on them, some rules must be respected, such as social distancing, and others are prohibited, such as the use of mats or the use of showers.
