ArteLanzarote 2009 - V Biennial Meeting, is launched under the idea "Energy, crisis and creation", trying to analyze the multiple relationships that are established from energy, understood as a unit of physical and mental action, as the engine of life capable of transformations and where creation and art can be instruments that invite reflection.

Different concepts and exhibitions

Through various exhibition projects, with different formats, and the debate tables in the MIAC observatory, which this edition is articulated under the title "Against the crisis, thought", ArteLanzarote wants to be a cultural and social mediator to bring the public closer to current issues.

The V ArteLanzarote 2009 Biennial Meeting is a proposal organized by the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, through the International Museum of Contemporary Art, MIAC, with the organization of exhibitions, concerts, debate tables and other parallel activities that occupy different spaces in the city, turning the event into a celebration of art and culture, with the collaboration of the municipalities of Arrecife, San Bartolomé, Teguise, Tías and Yaiza.
