The heatwave leaves Lanzarote, although temperatures will remain high

Lanzarote has endured intense heat in recent days, even exceeding 40 degrees in temperature. The hot air has also intensified the sensation of heat. Starting this Sunday, the island is no longer on alert for high temperatures, although the mercury could still reach 30 degrees.

This Saturday, the island was still on yellow alert for high temperatures, which could have reached 35 degrees. However, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) did not record such high temperatures on the island, but a maximum in Tinajo of 29.5 degrees at 11:00 a.m.

In Haría, the mercury reached 24.8 degrees on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and Teguise 27.9 degrees at 3:00 p.m., according to data published on the Aemet website.

For this Sunday, temperatures will be high, but a suffocating wind will not blow, although there could be gusts exceeding 30 kilometers per hour. The temperature, according to Aemet, will be between 22 and 26 degrees on average, although it could exceed 30 degrees at midday.

From Monday, the wind will drop until Thursday, and therefore the heat will be felt more. Throughout the week, the island could reach 30 degrees in temperature. For the moment, there are no warnings for high temperatures this week.
