The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) predicts that temperatures will return to normal values this weekend in Lanzarote and La Graciosa after the more than 37 degrees reached on Wednesday. The Emergency Consortium has reported that the heat will have its maximum peak around 3:00 p.m. when it can exceed 32 degrees, especially in the interior areas of the eastern part of the island.
On Saturday, slightly cloudy skies are expected, although it will be cloudy in the north. Temperatures will decrease slightly, especially the maximums in the southeast, with minimums of 19 degrees and maximums of 27. The trade winds will blow with intervals of strong without ruling out occasional very strong gusts in the southeast in the early hours of the day.
Regarding Sunday, the skies will be slightly cloudy or clear with intervals. Temperatures will continue with little change on the coasts and a slight decrease in inland areas, with minimums of 19 and maximums of 28. Given this situation, the General Directorate of Emergencies will maintain the Declaration of Alert for Maximum Temperatures due to precaution of forest fires in Gran Canaria and the western islands and the pre-alert for winds until this Saturday, at which time it will begin to de-escalate.
