The Municipal Theater of Tías opened its doors this Saturday to the young musicians of the Guenia Ensemble formation, who offered a concert that began at 8:30 p.m. The group is made up of Adrián Niz on guitar, Jorge Cañas on bass, Carlos Almaguer on percussion, Alexis Lemes on timple, Ayoze Rodríguez on clarinet, saxophone and piano, and the voice of Sara Bermúdez.

From its beginnings and despite its youth, this group has been concerned with rescuing and also composing songs, based on respect for the Canarian roots. Thus, they have been incorporating other instruments, managing to give more body to the compositions.

During the concert, you could hear some instrumental songs, as well as others with the voice of Sara Bermúdez, who managed to give a touch of freshness to the show. Among the public was the young Lanzarote folklorist Leo García Corujo, who was invited by the Guenia Ensemble formation to go on stage.

Together with Sara Bermúdez they shared some Folias and an Isa, which the public rewarded with a prolonged round of applause. Guenia Ensemble has been a magnificent ambassador for Lanzarote and the Canary Islands not only in the peninsula, but also in different European and African countries.
