The parents of the La Garita Elementary and Primary Education School (CEIP) have publicly expressed this Wednesday their "deep concern and discomfort" about the lack of response and attention from the Education inspector of the North Zone, whom they have accused of "not having been able to hold any meeting with the families of the educational center" ten days after the start of the school year.
The families have denounced that they have not received a response to the request they have sent to hold a meeting to address issues they consider of special interest related to "the academic development of the students, the quality of teaching and the conditions in which the school is located."
"We believe it is crucial that educational authorities listen to our concerns to ensure that our children receive the education they deserve in a suitable environment and that they are able to know, from the parents themselves, the issues that affect the proper functioning of the school, such as the lack of teaching staff, the unification of courses or the state of the school's infrastructure, which is affecting the normal development of classes," they said in a statement.
In this line, they have stated that "it is completely unacceptable" that, after 10 days from the beginning of the course and once the existing problems have been identified and communicated, "the inspector has limited himself to visiting the center to talk to the management, proposing possible solutions that have not been applied to date and, even more seriously, without being able to listen to or summon the parents."
The educational community of CEIP La Garita makes an urgent public appeal to the Education Inspector of the North Zone to attend to their request to find "among all" the best solution to the existing problems. At a minimum, that he has the necessary ethics and interest to convene the parents to a meeting in which he conveys, without ambiguity, the position of Education.
