The Education and Culture commission will ask the Cabildo to request the Intermediate Grade for the Music Conservatory

The Education and Culture commission held on Tuesday morning has accepted the proposal for the Cabildo to request the regional executive to grant Intermediate Grade for the Conservatory of Music, made by the Popular Group. This formation believes that the musical education carried out in the conservatory needs the support of the Government of the Canary Islands, in the same way that the conservatories of Gran Canaria and Tenerife receive subsidies from the autonomous government.

The agreement responds to a commitment made by the General Director of Centers of the Ministry of Education of the Canary Islands with the person responsible for musical education in the Archipelago.

The spokesperson for the Popular Party, Francisco Cabreara, believes that granting the Intermediate Grade to the Conservatory "would be a huge boost to the musical teachings currently taught at the center, which are of excellent quality and widely accepted among students." This grade would allow students to validate studies with the Artistic Baccalaureate".
