The dancers who represented Lanzarote in the Funky & Hip Hop Championship of the Canary Islands returned to the island with a very good taste in their mouths. The dance group "Ya Tú sabes" and the dancer Crisalda Padilla brought back two awards from this contest held in Fuerteventura.
The 1st Funky & Hip Hop Championship of the Canary Islands was held last Friday in Puerto de Rosario, and it brought together young people from all the islands, who competed in the Individual and Group categories.
Thus, the dance group "Ya Tú Sabes" won the third prize in the group category, while the dancer Crisalda Padilla did so individually. In addition, Crisalda Padilla and Laura Baldes, also from Lanzarote, won two scholarships, out of the three that were awarded.
The jury of the contest was composed of Maribel del Pino, professor of the popular television program "Fama, a bailar"; and the choreographers Fidel Buika and Noelia Torres.
