Popular tradition of India
ColorTribe not only offers music and renowned artists. It is a celebration that has its inspiration in an ancient Hindu folk festival with which the inhabitants of the country celebrate the arrival of spring, through the throwing of colored powders and colored water to celebrate the emerging floral sprout.
"According to some legends, these powders had a medicinal purpose due to the rich elaboration in raw materials and were prescribed by Hindu doctors to alleviate diseases," explain the festival organizers. In this sense, they emphasize that in the ColorsTribe the colored powders "comply with current safety regulations, are approved and accredited for use by the SGS entity, a world leader in inspection, verification, testing and certification."
In addition, the director of the festival organizing company Real Nights, Marco Rother, assures that "to guarantee security, we deliver a bag of colored powders at the entrance. More can be purchased on the premises as it is not allowed to introduce powders from outside. We also recommend that attendees wear white clothing, protect their eyes with sunglasses and cover mobile devices with cases."
Tickets can still be purchased on the official ColorsTribe website as well as at tomaticket.es or at the various Electrón points of sale in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. This festival is sponsored by Hercio, Toyota, Kalos Fusión, Video Activo and Electron stores.
