The color blue permeated the Farmer's Monument on the occasion of World Diabetes Day

Alberto Hugo Rojas has sent several photographs to La Voz to show the blue color that dyed the Farmer's Monument, on the occasion of World Diabetes Day. This Tourist Center changed its lighting this Monday, November 14, to show solidarity with all the people who suffer from this disease.

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that there are 346 million people with diabetes in the world and also warns that if this problem is not alleviated, there will be more than double by 2030. Almost 80 percent of diabetes deaths occur in low- or middle-income countries, according to the WHO website.
