The Arrecife City Council has removed the sign that prevented a traffic light from being seen on León y Castillo street, which could cause an accident on the road.
The City Council's response was due to the news published by La Voz after a neighbor's complaint. "Thank goodness they turned on the light bulb and removed the sign," says the neighbor.
The City Council has explained to La Voz that the reason the sign covered the traffic light is that the company in charge of renovating the city's traffic light network "could not remove signs", so the company in charge of that area had to be notified to remove it.
"The City Council was aware of the situation, and since we notified the other company, the sign was removed," they point out from the City Council itself.
