The Cecilia Roldán Senior Citizens Association is celebrating its cultural week over these days. The opening of the event took place on the afternoon of Monday, November 18 and was attended by the Councilor for Social Services of the Arrecife City Council, Ascensión Toledo.
Toledo shared a few hours of coexistence with the 55 women who make up the association with the rest of their colleagues and guests at the event. The youth association "Baila Conmigo Lanzarote" also participated with several couples performing ballroom dances with very careful choreographies.
In the social hall is the exhibition of all the handicrafts that they make during the year and then put them on sale during the cultural week and all the money raised this year is destined to Cáritas.
Among the events scheduled until next Sunday, there are talks, theater, parties, play-back, humor parodies and an excursion to the north of the island. Carmelina Corujo, president of the Cecilia Roldán association, was very happy with the attendance of the public at the opening ceremony and invited everyone to visit the social headquarters installed in the block of the "100 homes in Titerroy" so that they can get to know them and share this new cultural week together.
