The General Directorate of Emergencies, based on the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), has activated the alert for coastal phenomena in Lanzarote and La Graciosa for this Tuesday. In addition, it has also activated the pre-alert for rainfall.
In the case of the alert for strong waves, it will begin at 10:00 p.m. this Monday, with waves that may reach between 3 and 5.5 meters in height. There will be combined sea of force 5 (29 - 38 kilometers per hour) with an area of force 6 (39 - 49 kilometers per hour).
This alert will also affect the north and west coast of La Palma, El Hierro, Fuerteventura and the north coast of Tenerife.
On the other hand, the pre-alert for rainfall that may reach 15 liters per square meter in one hour will begin at 9:00 p.m. this Monday. It will also affect La Palma, El Hierro and the north of Tenerife.
