The Benito Pérez Armas House of Culture hosted the Claudia Álamo & Beselch Rodríguez concert

The Benito Pérez Armas House of Culture in Yaiza hosted the Claudia Álamo & Beselch Rodríguez concert last Saturday night, accompanied on guitar by Jonay Mesa. The public was able to enjoy a great, ethnic and contemporary work, where musicians and singer gave everything, demonstrating once again that the new generations, respecting the root of traditional music and making very good use of new technologies, ensure that each of the pieces to be performed have fresh and innovative airs

Beselch, Claudia and Jonay for the first part of the concert chose compositions which are part of the musical anthology. Claudia Álamo put her velvety voice to songs such as Piensa en Mi by Luz Casal, Todo Cambia by Julio Numhauser and popularized by the Argentine, Mercedes Sosa, Yo vengo a Ofrecer mi Corazón, one of the most recognized songs by the Argentine singer Fito Páez.

The second part of the concert was dedicated to compositions of traditional Canarian roots such as Cantos de Trabajo del Hierro, Aires de Lima de Valsequillo, Sorondongo de Fuerteventura or Folías de Lanzarote with lyrics by Claudia Álamo alluding to Mararía and César Manrique. Instrumental music also had its space where the complicity of Beselch and Jonay made the public become engrossed with the interpretative mastery carried out with themes such as Black or White by Billie Jean or My favorite Things by Richard Rogders among others.

The Benito Pérez Armas House of Culture has a unique capacity where musicians and soloists enjoy a very special acoustic, achieving very positive results where the concerts invite an open dialogue between the artists and the public as Beselch, Claudia and Jonay did.
