Soccer, karate, dance, gymnastics, boxing, Canarian wrestling and aerobics were some of the sports represented. The presentation began with a few words from the mayor of Haría, José Torres Stinga, who was "proud and satisfied" to see this work completed, and thanked the work done by the Councilor for Sports, the former boxer, Manuel Santacruz, better known as "Palenke." In this way, the act became a tribute to "Palenke", after the Ministry of Education and Science awarded him the Medal for Sports Merit. "This pavilion is going to become the general school of sports in the municipality," said "Palenke".
