Specialized healthcare in Lanzarote receives the worst score from the island's population. This is according to the Island Issues Survey, prepared by the Data Center of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.

Regarding health issues, this survey gives 5.2 points to the island's public health system, which is perceived as "regular, but with significant limitations." Meanwhile, the emergency services of 061, 112, and hospital emergency rooms have been scored with more than six points. Consultations in primary care in health centers have also received more than six points.

However, emergencies in public hospitals have been scored with a bare five points.

The only service that fails is specialized care consultations, that is, specialists. "This data could be related to long waiting lists and the difficulty in accessing specialists," the survey added.

Regarding waiting lists, nearly 50% of the population believes that the situation "remains the same," while 30% of respondents say it has worsened. These data reflect "a predominantly negative or stagnant perception."

These surveys have been conducted with a total of 700 people over 18 years of age, residents of Lanzarote and La Graciosa in family homes.
