A total of 16 young people, eight girls and eight boys, are rushing the rehearsals for the gala next Saturday, where they aspire to become Miss and Mister Yaiza 2013.
Directed by the choreographer Ruymán Medina, the aspirants "undergo demanding days of dance and catwalk, in order to be ready on a night that will bring many emotions and surprises", as they advance from the City Council. "They are hours and hours of dedication in the Municipal Gymnasium of Yaiza thinking of giving a magnificent show", they add from the Consistory.
After several years off the southern stage, the contest returned in 2011, although only misses participated in the previous two editions. This time, the boys reappear in this event.
The aspirants
The great protagonists of Miss and Mr Yaiza 2013 are: Natalia Jiménez, Leyre Díaz, Vaitiare Tribaldo, Amy Knight, Alessandra Pacheco, Yaritza Pérez, Beatriz Cabrera, Vivien Caraballo, Fabián Jiménez, Aythami Morales, Nauzet Tavío, Sergio Mármol, Iván Fernández, Adrián Pérez, Borja Arias and Acoidan González.
The City Council of Yaiza, through the Department of Social Dynamization, publicly thanks the dedication and desire of all the participants. It also values the support of commercial houses and the people responsible for choreography, costumes, makeup, light, sound and all those who pamper the details of the show.
The gala is scheduled for 9:00 p.m., in the port area of Playa Blanca, and will feature the Dance Pop ballet, the dance couples Aarón and Alba (European champions) and Joaquín and Fany, and the singers Carlota Camacho, Cristian Morales and Iraides Torres.
