San Bartolomé presents the Comprehensive Care Service for Women

Individualized labor, legal, and psychological counseling for women in the municipality of San Bartolomé are some of the free services that have been presented this Tuesday morning, January 22, included within the project: "Rural Woman Municipality: Comprehensive Care Service for Women" carried out by the Tiemar Women's Association and subsidized by the Canarian Employment Service with the collaboration of the City Council through the Women's Area and the AEDL.

Completely free of charge and for the fourth consecutive year, the women of the municipality will have job guidance, self-esteem workshops, among other activities such as round tables and conferences on various topics of interest to the group. This year, in addition, the Comprehensive Care Service for Women will be held two days a week in San Bartolomé and the other three in Playa Honda, although the service will be provided in all the towns of the municipality.

With a work team made up of a lawyer, a psychologist, two sociocultural animators and a social worker, it will be in the town of Playa Honda on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the morning and afternoon at the sociocultural center. In San Bartolomé, the service will be offered in the women's office in the municipal sports center on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The councilor of the Women's area, Concepción Álvarez, highlighted during the presentation the importance of having this association in the municipality and added that in this edition the duration of the service will be seven months since it lasts until June.

From the Tiemar Association, its president commented that in this edition "we are going to work especially with young people, since in previous editions we have worked more with women and families in general." She also assured that the demand is growing since it has had great acceptance. This project is complemented by others that the association teaches, such as workshops with talks on gender and equality and youth information point and talks with adolescents in the IES of the municipality with the hiring of a psychotherapist specialized in this topic.

Once the press conference was over, the agreement was signed between the City Council and the Association for the development of this project.
