San Bartolomé will celebrate the International Day against Gender Violence, with various activities organized by the Department of Equality. Some of them, such as the VIII Edition of the Literary Contest Educating in Equality, have been developed in institutes of the municipality. Thus, young people have until this Friday to present their works, in the modalities of essay, poetry, story, comic or short story. The prize, which is awarded to the educational center, is endowed with 75 euros in school material.
But, in addition, on Friday the 23rd an event will take place in the Municipal Theater of San Bartolomé, starting at 8:00 p.m., to commemorate the International Day against Gender Violence. The event will begin with the performance of the Municipal Band of San Bartolomé and with the reading of the verdict of the literary contest. In addition, the prizes will be awarded and the two winning works will be read.
As a culmination, attendees will be able to enjoy the screening of the short documentary "La mujer?cosa de hombres" (Woman?a thing for men), directed by Isabel Coixet and ceded by Radio Televisión Española for said event.
