El Reducto beach remains closed following the latest Public Health analyses

The Arrecife City Council has demanded that the Water Consortium and Canal Gestión resolve the anomalies that are causing new spills, with the appearance of sewage, in the area of the Submarine Outfall in Punta del Camello

After more than a week, El Reducto beach remains closed to bathers after Public Health's water analysis detected sewage spills in the water on October 14.

As reported by the Arrecife City Council to La Voz, the analyses carried out this past Tuesday and known this Wednesday continued to show positive results for contamination as a result of the spills in the area of the Outfall, in Punta del Camello.

Likewise, throughout this Thursday, the City Council awaits the results of the latest analyses to know if the beach can finally be reopened for swimming or not.

Arrecife Asks the Water Consortium and Canal Gestión for a Solution

Last week, the Arrecife City Council announced that it demanded that the Water Consortium, and its company responsible for the sanitation network, Canal Gestión, resolve the anomalies that are causing new spills, with the appearance of sewage, in the area of the Underwater Outfall in Punta del Camello.

Local Police agents from Arrecife went to the area and filed a report regarding a presumed infraction by those responsible for the maintenance of this wastewater network.
