The strong wind and current has forced the raising of the red flag in several bathing areas of Lanzarote, as reported by the Security and Emergency Consortium.
Therefore, bathing is prohibited in several beaches of Puerto del Carmen such as Playa Chica, Playa Grande and Pocillos.
As reported by Aemet, storm Óscar is being felt on the island this Tuesday due to the strong southeast wind with intervals especially in the interior. Maximum gusts of up to 60 km/h may be reached, according to the State Meteorological Agency.
