The Municipal Project 'Playa Honda, the Sea of Life' has brought 230 students from the municipality of San Bartolomé closer to the fauna and flora that live on our coast. "Educating in values of environmental protection through knowledge of our closest environment" is the clear objective of this project that the Environment area of the City Council develops in the CEIP Playa Honda, the CEIP El Quintero and the CEIP Ajei, in collaboration with Ceamar, Azul Marino, Alisio and Calina.
Within it, 5th grade students from CEIP Ajei have made trips to the coast this Monday and Tuesday. With them, the three educational centers in which the project is carried out have already made their journey along the coast.
From the City Council they emphasize that 'Playa Honda, the Sea of Life' is having "great acceptance among the students of the schools of the municipality, with the aim of bringing young students closer to the rich biodiversity that inhabits the beaches and stony areas of the coast of the municipality".
Protecting the territory
Alexis Tejera, Councilor for the Environment of the City Council, came on Tuesday morning to welcome the young people, in this case from CEIP Ajei, inviting them "to get to know our coast and to protect the territory and sea, source of life".
