Noemí Merino from Lanzarote is once again in the spotlight for her participation in the Mediaset program "Summer Camp." A controversy with Sergeant Alonso, who bathed her in chocolate as a punishment, coupled with the unfortunate words of the presenters, outraged the native of Lanzarote. Finally, the program had to apologize and even reward her with a getaway to surf with the explorer of her choice.
The native of Lanzarote had stolen some cookies to offer them to other contestants who could not eat, and the program decided to sanction her for it with three days of bread and water. This provoked complaints from the native of Lanzarote, who was finally punished on Monday with a chocolate bath. For this, she had to take off her clothes and stay in a bikini.
Until that moment, Noemí Merino was taking the "joke" with humor. However, what she could not stand were the comments of the presenters while they were bathing her in chocolate. "Guys, if any of you want to share dessert with Noemí, you know," said the presenter, Sonia Ferrer.
And Joaquín Prat, from the set, blurted out: "The only thing we wanted was to sweeten Noemí's night a little, in fact, we had planned for her colleagues to also enjoy the surprise by helping Noemí get rid of the chocolate, even with licks."
"I'm not the program's porn girl"
Noemí Merino could not stand these comments and burst into tears: "I'm not the porn girl of this program," she said while saying that the camp was "a piece of crap." The contestant said that she had taken "everything with a smile," but this last thing was "going too far."
Faced with these events, which were even picked up by the national press, the program was forced to apologize to Noemí and compensate her with a gift. "Sergeant Alonso bathed her in chocolate, and Noemí did not like the treatment she received, and rightly so," said the presenter afterwards, who apologized to her "on behalf of the entire program." "At no time was the intention to hurt you," she said.
The presenter Joaquín Prat also wanted to apologize to the contestant through a video message. "At no time was it the intention of the program's management, nor of course my intention, that you felt bad, that you felt ashamed," he said, referring to Noemí. The presenter maintained that what they intended was to "have a fun, jovial moment" in which "everyone participated."
"We know that you are a fun person, a natural collaborator, that's why you have entered the Summer Camp. At no time was it our intention for you to have a bad time," insisted the presenter. However, Noemí did not like that the program dedicated so much time to apologizing to her. "They do an hour of program to apologize to me. First, before creating a problem, try to inform yourselves and avoid the apology," replied the native of Lanzarote.
