The platform Stop the war has called rallies in 150 towns across the country, including in Lanzarote, to demand an end to the military intervention by the United States and Israel in the Middle East.
Under the slogan We must Stop the War in the Middle East (Do Not Forget Gaza), the collective has called a demonstration this Saturday, March 14, at 12:00 noon in Lanzarote, as well as in other islands such as Tenerife, Gran Canaria, El Hierro, La Gomera, La Palma and Fuerteventura.
Prior to the press conference that the platform has called for this Friday in Tenerife, this Thursday 12 a manifesto signed by will be released
hundreds of personalities from the world of culture, communication, politics, and trade unionism, as well as with the support of hundreds of political and social organizations, expressing their support for the mobilization in this State Day for Peace.
Stop The War was born two years ago, following the criminal Hamas attacks on October 7, denouncing the atrocious Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip, with a clear motto and principled position: "Neither terrorism, Nor genocide". In these two years, the platform has called hundreds of rallies in towns across the country, uniting organizations of different signs, ideologies, and political cultures, as well as hundreds of personalities from the world of culture, in defense of Peace.
Now this platform calls for mobilizations for Peace in the Middle East, against the military aggressions of the US and Israel against Iran and other countries in the region, and in denunciation of the pressures that Spain is suffering from Washington and Tel Aviv, for having taken a clear position in defense of peace and international legality
