Lanzarote is left without active cases of coronavirus after the last patient was discharged this Friday, who has been admitted to the Molina Orosa Hospital for three months.
Benjamín, 64 years old, was admitted to the hospital on March 23 and the next day he was transferred to the ICU, where he remained until May 21. After leaving intensive care, the patient remained 33 days on the ward until completing his recovery and leaving the hospital this Monday.
"Thank you all, really, because you have treated me very well, it has been something exquisite. I trust the people at the hospital, because I have even worked in the Emergency Room and in Trauma, and I know the good will of everyone, but you have gone to extremes, you have gone overboard with good treatment and affection," he said upon leaving the center, where he was greeted with applause by the healthcare staff.
