Within the stand of the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), the Institute of Astronomy and Geodesy (IAG) has dedicated its participation to the Geodynamics Laboratory of Lanzarote, the result of the collaboration established by the IAG with the Cabildo.

The Lanzarote center has been developing research aimed at a better understanding of our planet through the use of terrestrial, oceanographic and spatial techniques. To carry out this work, the Geodynamics Laboratory has more than a hundred instruments in its three modules located in Montañas de Fuego, the Cueva de Los Verdes and the Jameos del Agua.

The Councilor for New Technologies of the First Institution, Ángeles García, was in charge of inaugurating this stand together with Ricardo Vieira, director of the Institute of Astronomy and Geodesy of Spain as well as director of the Laboratory in Lanzarote.
