Isabel Cabrera put her intimate stamp on the Únete Yaiza program with her 'A Toast to Women'

In the middle of a dim atmosphere of light illumination and on a small platform very close to the public, the actress and oral narrator Isabel Cabrera shared this Thursday with the assistance of Únete Yaiza messages of reflection on women's feelings and their work in society transmitted through the strength of the word and the art and plasticity of the interpretation.

The intimate session 'Toast to Women', not without singing, humor and irony, is a tribute to the figure of women that intertwines ups and downs of joy and self-esteem with sad nuances that reflect the harsh reality.

The public of the House of Culture of Yaiza raised the glass of wine in a toast to women and enjoyed the artistic spectacle of Isabel Cabrera within the program of scenic activities that has been offering the campaign against violence and discrimination against women and girls, Únete Yaiza, promoted by the City Council chaired by Gladys Acuña.

'Encounter with Women'

The next Únete Yaiza event will be this Saturday, December 2, with the round table 'Encounter with Women', at 12:15 pm, next to the Brisa Marina restaurant. Women with prominent roles inside and outside the Canary Islands will hold a relaxed chat about feminism, sisterhood, empowerment and critical thinking as bases for the eradication of violence against women.

Carolina Darias, president of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, is invited to the talk moderated by the mayor of Yaiza and regional parliamentarian, Gladys Acuña; Gloria Poyatos, magistrate of the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands and president of the Association of Women Judges of Spain; Marina Marroquí, president of the Ilicitana Association against Gender Violence; Carmela García, plastic artist; Antonia Varela, senior researcher/engineer Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands; and Koala Rabioso (Alba Vidal) and Naty Penadas (Natalia Pérez), audiovisual creators and Spanish youtubers.

Before the round table, at 11:30 am, the two youtubers and activist guests will present and analyze their videos on feminism and equality. This same Saturday, December 2, at night, at 9:00 pm, the musical group Calicanto, composed of twenty women, will perform next to the Brisa Marina.
