On the big day of its festivities, Teguise paid tribute to its patron saint, the Virgen del Carmen, in the religious service officiated by the parish priest Juan Antonio Artiles, and with the traditional procession that runs through the main streets of the town accompanied by the Municipal Band of Teguise.

Hundreds of residents accompanied the image of the Virgin on her journey together with the municipal authorities presided over by the mayor, Oswaldo Betancort, and the Councilor for Culture and Festivities, Olivia Duque. Representatives of the Cabildo and other municipalities of the island also participated in the solemn act, who shared the so-called Toast of Honor in the Timple House Museum.

The mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, at the end of it congratulated "all the participants of this procession, who have demonstrated one more year that the citizens feel proud of what we are and of our legacy and has wrapped this religious event with much enthusiasm and devotion".
