This Sunday, Puerto del Carmen was filled with color and music to welcome the Carnival. The chosen place was the Municipal Pavilion of Tías, which was filled with more than 1000 people eager to enjoy the party.
The act began with the performance of the youth group "Liberty Dance" in charge of encouraging those present with different choreographies. After the dance of the boys from Tías, the party continued with the presentation of the murga "Los Gruñones", who put the satirical note of the afternoon with their acid songs.
The dance to the rhythm of the drums of the 40 members of the comparsa "Sur Caliente", closed the presentation party of the carnival of Puerto del Carmen-Tías, which was marked according to the Councilor for Culture and Festivities of the city council by "the showiness and color".
The presentation was the preamble to the real Carnival party, which in Tías starts on Thursday, March 2 in the Plaza del Varadero, which from 9 pm will host the performances of the murga "Los Gruñones", the afilarmónica "Las Revoltosas", the comparsa Batacheros and the "Electric Trio".
The party continues the following day with the celebration of the Grand Carnival Gala in which the drag queen "Quetzal" and the comparsas "Güimero", "Timanfeiros" and "Sur Caliente" will participate, followed by the verbena.
From Barcarola to Fariones Playa, the carnival parade will be extended on Saturday afternoon and finally, Sunday is for children with the traditional children's party that will be held at the "Unión Sur" Society of Tías.
