Health has notified seven new Covid outbreaks detected in Lanzarote in the last week. Four of them correspond to the arrival of boats to the island, one of them affecting 13 people. In addition, there has been a new outbreak of educational origin on the island that reaches 3 people.
The archipelago as a whole reports this week 38 new outbreaks with 197 cases, of which 14 have occurred in Tenerife, eight in Gran Canaria, seven in Lanzarote, five in Fuerteventura and four in El Hierro.
By area in which they have occurred, 13 are in socially vulnerable groups, eight labor, seven family, four social, three educational, two health and one social health.
In general, all outbreaks have fewer than 10 associated cases except for five outbreaks that exceed that figure.
More numerous by areas
The outbreaks produced in socially vulnerable groups notified among people arriving in the Canary Islands by boat or canoes are distributed by islands as follows: four in Lanzarote, four in Fuerteventura, four in El Hierro and one in Gran Canaria. Among them, one with 15 affected in Fuerteventura and two with 13 people infected each in Lanzarote and El Hierro stand out for exceeding 10 cases.
The outbreaks reported in the family, social and work environments generally have between three and six associated cases, except for one work-related outbreak in Tenerife that has eight people affected.
The three educational outbreaks, all with family ramifications and reported in Primary Education, have occurred one in Tenerife and affects 10 people, one in Lanzarote with three cases and another in Tenerife with three cases.
As for the two health outbreaks, both with family ramifications, they have been reported in the Insular-Maternal Children's University Hospital Complex. One of them, produced in a family reunion, has 11 people affected, of which four are professionals from the CAE of Vecindario, while the other outbreak has five associated cases, of which two are patients and one worker.
The social health outbreak, with family ramifications, has been reported in the Santo Domingo Social Health Center, in Tenerife, and affects 12 people.

Follow-up is also being done on 10 old outbreaks, some of which have grown in number of cases. Thus, there is a social/family one in Lanzarote that has 36 people affected, a social health one with 24 cases in the Bonanza Residence of Tenerife, an educational one with 12 people infected in Fuerteventura and a work one with 10 cases produced in a company in the construction sector of Tenerife.
