But undoubtedly, that was only the first step for this young singer. Now, and after a hard and long selection process, in which more than 20 thousand applicants from all over Spain have participated, Saray Ramírez has managed to enter Operación Triunfo.
On Sunday night, millions of people watched her live performance, which was the final test to enter the academy, and she passed it successfully. It was the jury that gave her the direct pass to the contest, and she did not even have to submit to the decision of the public.
Saray, who is originally from Gran Canaria, has resided since the age of 13 in Fuerteventura, in the town of Gran Tarajal, where an office to support the singer is already planned. Also in Lanzarote, the José Vélez Friends Collective intends to carry out a similar initiative, and has requested collaboration from the institutions.
