Escudería Lanzarote regrets the recent death of Ambrosio Betancort de León, a remarkable man within the "world of motoring" on the island. The father of some of the drivers and co-drivers members of the team, died in Arrecife last Friday, September 15 at the age of 71.
"The Lanzarote motoring world suffers a great loss", they express from the team. They remember him as "a great person", "a reference in personal matters, so close and affable", and very involved in his family life, he was "the main support of a humble and hard-working family", they remark.
In addition, a man also committed to Lanzarote. "He leaves us a father, husband and grandfather, who has given so much to motoring and the society of Lanzarote", they add. They send a message of affection to his loved ones: "Much strength and a big hug to the whole family."
The wake will take place this Saturday at 12.30 pm in the funeral chapel installed in the Tanatorio de Alianza Canaria in Arrecife. Afterwards, the burial will take place in the Arrecife cemetery.
