This Wednesday, Domingo Ortega, one of the historical members of the Lanzarote PSOE, passed away at the age of 85. Ortega had a great professional career, for decades he was the director of the Caja de Canarias in Lanzarote.
In the political sphere he was a parliamentarian, councilor in the Cabildo of Lanzarote, councilor in the Arrecife City Council and councilor of the Lanzarote Water Consortium.
Domingo was married to Remedios Reguilón, he has five children, Domingo, Reme, Paco, José Juan and Carlos and three grandchildren, Claudia, Julia and Celia.
His wake will be installed from 4:00 p.m. at Alianza Canarias on León y Castillo street 183 in Arrecife and this Thursday a mass will be celebrated in the San Ginés church at 4:00 p.m.
Condolences from the PSOE of Lanzarote
the Socialist Party has expressed its regret and that of the socialist family, with these words from the island secretary María Dolores Corujo: "In addition to his organic and public responsibilities, we will remember him for his enormous humanity and kindness, he was a very loved person in the socialist family".
"Domingo Ortega has been a prominent part of the history of the PSOE in Lanzarote, having been a parliamentarian, councilor of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, councilor in the Arrecife City Council and councilor of the Lanzarote Water Consortium", explained Corujo.
