The Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands has declared the suspension of classes for this Monday, February 24, throughout the archipelago due to the alert for wind and haze.
The Government of the Canary Islands, through the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies, maintains the alert situation activated due to haze and winds that will bring gusts that could exceed 120 kilometers per hour.
This decision is made taking into account the information provided by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) and other available sources, and in application of the Specific Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands for Risks of Adverse Meteorological Phenomena (PEFMA).
