Canary Islands government maintains pre-alert for waves in Lanzarote and La Graciosa

The State Meteorological Agency forecasts that waves could reach four and a half meters in height

The Directorate General of Emergencies, based on the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), maintains the pre-alert for adverse coastal phenomena in Lanzarote and La Graciosa from this Monday.

This situation will affect the northern coast of Gran Canaria and the northern and western coasts of El Hierro, La Palma, La Gomera, Tenerife, Fuerteventura, and Lanzarote.

This Monday the wind will blow from the south, force 1 - 3 (1 - 20 km/h). There will be rippled seas and northwest swell increasing up to four meters. Combined sea waves 2.5 to 4 meters.

On **Tuesday**, the wind will blow from the south, shifting to the west in the second half of the day with a force of 1-3 (1-20 km/h). There will be choppy seas and northwest swell of **3 to 4 meters**. Combined sea wave height of 3-4.5 meters.Regarding **Wednesday**, the wind will blow from the north and northeast force 3 - 4 (12 - 28 km/h) increasing to force 5 (29 - 38 km/h) in the open sea between the islands. Slight sea increasing to moderate sea throughout the archipelago before noon and northwest swell **of 2.5 - 3.5 meters in height**.
