San Bartolomé already has a Children's Queen. Within the program of the patron saint festivities that began last weekend, the election gala of the Children's Queen was held last Sunday. Camila Holub Fernández managed to take the title of Children's Queen at the election gala. The event has been organized by the youth association Peña Picúa and the collaboration of the City Council.
Not only the little ones enjoyed an entertaining night, in which all the performers demonstrated great quality, but during this day there was also a gymnastics workshop led by Aída Santana and performances by dance couples from the Lanzarote Baila school, directed by Miguel Medina.
The singer Eva Ruíz and the spectacular circus number by the Lanzarote circus school "Taís Gago" made the night a show to the liking of all attendees, who packed the tent facilities so as not to miss a single performance.
Eight candidates
But without a doubt, all eyes were on the 8 candidates, authentic dolls, who with their childish innocence knew how to win over the public and the jury from their first appearance on stage.
They began wearing a typical costume, also paraded with a design called "fantasy" to conclude with the gala dress, in white with a blue band. All the girls had their princess title and none were left without a sash and crown.
Camila Holub Fernández, seven years old, was crowned Children's Queen of the San Bartolomé Festivities. The councilor for festivities Aurea Mauri imposed the sash and the queen of 2009, Paula García Pérez, placed the crown on her.
