The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts cloudy skies, haze, wind and heat for the weekend in Lanzarote, which is spared from the high temperature warnings that put the western islands and Gran Canaria on alert.
Looking ahead to this Saturday, it forecasts slightly cloudy skies, except in the early and late hours of the day when they are expected to be cloudier. The prediction expects temperatures to remain with little change, with minimums of between 22 and 29 degrees maximum. These temperatures will be accompanied by light haze in high layers, during the first half of the day.
This same July 5, the wind is expected to be moderate from the northeast, which may have strong intervals in inland areas of the southern half of the island, where there may be an occasionally very strong gust, especially in the early hours of the day and afternoon.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, the skies will dawn cloudy with probable light rains on the island during the morning, which will turn into clear skies during the central hours of the day. The arrival of haze is not expected and temperatures will experience a notable to moderate decrease, with between 21 and 27 degrees.
Thus, the wind will continue to be moderate with intervals of strong and probable very strong gusts in the most exposed areas of the southeast and northeast of the island.
