The company Cicar, from the Cabrera Medina group, will present its Lanzarote audio guide this Thursday, which will be distributed among users of the group's rental cars, at no cost to them.
The presentation ceremony, which will take place this Thursday at the group's central offices, located in the industrial area of Playa Honda, will be attended by the President of the Canary Islands Government, Paulino Rivero, and Mamerto Cabrera, representing Cicar, as well as the painter Ildefonso Aguilar and the journalist Fernando Delgado.
When renting a vehicle from Cicar or the Cabrera Medina Group anywhere on the island, the user will receive a CD, in mp3 format, which describes 42 places of tourist interest in Lanzarote. The customer can choose between three languages: Spanish, English and German.
As you travel through the island, the user can choose the track they want to listen to, in accordance with the landscape or the place in front of them. When doing so, a voice describes the most interesting aspects of the place being visited over a subtle musical background.
As a complementary support for the audio guide, the rental car user has the traditional map of the island offered by the company, which has been redesigned and updated for this purpose.
The audio guide also promotes the consumption of local wines and cheeses, and offers a series of useful tips to rental car users for the conservation of the island, in accordance with its declaration as a Biosphere Reserve.
With this initiative, "the Lanzarote company makes a long-standing aspiration a reality that was conceived just over a year ago and has taken all this time to come to light, after a reflective design process. The group thus tries to contribute to spreading the cultural and natural values of the island among users who are inclined to use rental cars to travel and get to know it".
