The scheduled concert of Benito Cabrera at the Casa Museo del Timple was about to be suspended for the second time. However, despite the cloudy sky, the timple player was finally able to unravel his music, in a performance that began at 11 am this Sunday and that his followers described as "magnificent".
The timple player Benito Cabrera took a tour of some of the compositions from the seven albums he has recorded in his 20-year career. One of the most applauded moments was when he presented those present with his famous composition "Ice Cloud".
For the occasion, Benito Cabrera was accompanied by his musicians: Sergio, on percussion; Guille, on bass; and Ykay, on guitar. In addition, he had one of the best voices in the Canary Islands, that of Chago Melián, who accompanied him in one of the folías they performed.
At the end, to please the request of the public who asked for another song, Benito Cabrera performed "Lancelot", inspired by the Zaranda campesina.
The Director General of Heritage of the Government of the Canary Islands, Aránzazu Gutiérrez, was present at the concert.
