The Arrecife City Council and the Forum against Gender Violence in Lanzarote held a minute of silence this Monday at 12 noon at the door of the Town Hall for the latest murder of a woman due to gender violence, which occurred on Saturday in Los Realejos (Tenerife).
"Gender violence is a scourge that we must fight against every day through education and the implementation of effective measures against these murderers," said the mayoress of Arrecife, Eva de Anta.
For her part, as usual, the Councilor for Social Services, Victoria Sande, observed the minute of silence together with the workers of the area at the door of her department.
