The front landing gear gave way while the aircraft was on the platform and caused the nose to touch the ground, without causing injuries

An ATR 72 aircraft from the company Canaryfly, coming from Lanzarote, suffered a technical failure this Saturday afternoon while parked on the platform of Gran Canaria airport, without causing personal injury among passengers or crew.

As reported by the airline itself through a statement, the incident occurred once the passenger boarding was completed. As the start-up maneuver began, "a specific technical failure caused the front landing gear to give way," the company notes.

Canaryfly immediately activated the protocols planned for this type of situation and proceeded to relocate passengers on other flights. The airline has regretted "the inconvenience it may have caused to travelers and the possible delays caused on other flights."

Despite the spectacular nature of the situation, no occupant of the plane was injured and the airport operation has not been seriously affected.
