About thirty residents of the Altavista neighborhood, in Arrecife, found a row of stones on the only paved road to enter the neighborhood.
Although at first the residents thought it was the City Council who cut off the road, it was found that it was the owners of the land who placed those stones.
The road, despite being used to access the neighborhood, and even having public lighting, is privately owned, and on Tuesday the owners decided to place the stones and prevent the neighbors from accessing their homes.
According to the advisor of the Popular Party in the capital City Council, Jacobo Medina, this Tuesday several councilors of the municipality went to the place, and even the Councilor of Urbanism, Eduardo Placeres, "is in negotiations with the owners to find a solution to the problem."
In addition, the Local Police and the Fire Department also went to the place this Tuesday, since the stones placed by the owners lack luminosity, which could cause an accident. Since this Tuesday, the residents have to access their homes through a dirt road adjacent to the main one.
