The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) predicts from the afternoon of this Wednesday, January 15, a strong episode of haze that will hit the island of Lanzarote and leave an "extremely unfavorable air quality".

According to this prediction, the concentrations of particles less than ten microns may exceed 200 micrograms per cubic meter.

Thus, with a view to this Thursday, January 16, the haze will leave an "unfavorable air quality" that will be lighter and will subside throughout the day. However, Aemet points out that "it is not ruled out that concentrations will remain" that are "high" of microparticles of less than ten microns.

In episodes of haze, the Government of the Canary Islands recommends keeping doors and windows closed and avoiding going outside if you suffer from chronic respiratory diseases. In addition to not forgetting to take your usual medication, drink plenty of fluids and avoid dry environments, do not perform severe physical exercise for the duration of this situation,
