Aemet extends the yellow warning for wind and haze again, now until Thursday

The adverse weather situation continues in Lanzarote and Aemet has once again extended the yellow warning for wind and haze, now until this Thursday.

From 9:00 p.m. this Wednesday, wind gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour are expected, which will mainly affect the north and west coast areas of the island. The alert ends, in principle, at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

In addition, regarding the haze, according to Aemet's forecasts, visibility may be affected by about 3,000 meters, although "occasionally it may be affected below 3,000 meters." In this case, the pre-alert ends at 00:00 on Friday the 21st.

Lanzarote has already had several days on pre-alert for wind and haze, after Aemet reactivated the yellow warning for these adverse phenomena on Monday, which also affected the island last weekend.
