The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has announced the first warnings for high temperatures and the presence of suspended dust in Lanzarote. According to reports, the expected maximum for this Thursday will be 36 degrees.
The biggest rise in the thermometer, according to the forecast in Lanzarote, will occur in the southeast of the island. For this reason, the yellow warning for high temperatures is established from eight o'clock on Thursday morning and will last all day. Also, the presence of suspended dust will affect the higher areas more.
This announcement adds to the one already established by the Canary Islands Government from this Thursday until next Sunday due to the rise in temperatures. The island, like the rest of the Archipelago, will suffer a heatwave during the weekend.
