Aemet activates the yellow warning for gusts of 80 kilometers per hour for this Saturday in Lanzarote. A warning that will begin that day in the morning and end in the afternoon, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has highlighted.

The strong wind will accompany the people of Lanzarote during Saturday, December 16. On the island, gusts of 80 kilometers per hour will be reached, the meteorological agency has predicted. Gusts that will come with a moderate southeast wind, which will increase to strong in the west and inland areas from the early hours of the morning. It is expected to decrease to moderate from nightfall.

In addition, the sky will be clear in general, but with intervals of high clouds from the afternoon. The haze will also be the protagonist this weekend in Lanzarote. After a week of pre-alert and a lot of haze, it will be present again during the next few days on the island. It will be visible from the early hours of the morning, Aemet has announced.

As for temperatures, the maximums in Arrecife will be in slight decline, with 23 degrees. And the minimums with 17 degrees will not suffer changes.

For Sunday, the wind will continue to blow on the island. There will probably be very strong gusts in the interior and west of Lanzarote, the Agency predicts. In addition, temperatures will not vary much compared to the previous day, with a maximum of 21 degrees in Arrecife and a minimum of 16 degrees in the capital of Lanzarote.
