The association has filed a complaint with both the Local Police and the SEPRONA

Dog situation in Haría

The Association for Defense against Animal Abuse Lanzarote (ADEMAL) has reported to the Local Police and Seprona the situation that is being experienced on a farm in the municipality of Haría, where they found four dogs in "deficient hygienic conditions" and even "do not rule out that there may be animal abuse by having them tied up".

According to them, on December 9 they found four dogs inside some houses made with blocks and pallets. The four dogs, two terriers and two podencos, were tied with a chain of barely one meter and, according to them, "they seem very poorly cared for." "The podencos are extremely thin and one of them cannot support her hind leg and has ulcers on the back of her body, and she was eating her own feces in search of food," they say in the complaint.
